Overview

upace is a mobile and online platform helping university administrators use data driven analytics to make fitness meet convenience for collegiate communities. Our end to end platform allows fitness centers to regulate, monitor, attract and schedule student usage and capture data for planning and operations. We are a downloadable app in the Apple and Google Play stores as well as offer a web-based platform. Data is stored in the cloud and assessed through a web-based portal.

History

Before upace was founded, founder Rachel Koretsky conducted a series of informational interviews with hundreds or potential student users and over 30 universities to understand the marketplace. The excitement from the potential clients and users led to upace being founded in August 2014. In February of that same year, American University launched a upace beta test at their fitness facilities. Due to the success of the beta has led to launches at Rutgers University, Johnson C Smith University, and Grand Prairie Regional College with over 2,000 users. We have been accepted as a NIRSA Associate Member, the leader for collegiate recreation where we will be attending their National Conference with over 3,000 universities this April 2016. Member of the American University Entrepreneurial Incubator and Rackspace Startup Program.
