Social Tables is a web-based event planning platform built for hospitality, meeting and event planning. The platform allows users to create 2D and 3D diagrams and models of any layout or seating arrangement quickly and easily. [1] a range of diagrams, plan seating arrangements, and check in guests. The company's customers include hotel chains like the Hyatt Hotel Corporation, academic special events teams from institutions like Harvard Business School, and corporate meeting teams from companies like Goldman Sachs.

Headquartered in Washington, D.C., Social Tables was founded in February 2011 by Dan Berger. By 2012, the company had landed a contract to use the software for the 2012 Latin Grammy Awards. In the same week, Social Tables received a $500,000 seed round from 500 Startups. That same year Dan enrolled Social Tables into Fortify Venture's incubator, The Fort, and the company partnered with the events planning media company BizBash. [3] Within two years of its founding, Social Tables customers had used the company's software to plan over 175,000 events.  In 2013, the company won the International Special Events Society (ISES) Esprit Award for Best Industry Innovation. [4] As of August 2014, the company had 2,500 customers using their platform. [2]
