Overview

TandemNSI is an initiative that links entrepreneurs with national security technologies and opportunities.  The initiative is operated by Amplifier Ventures supported by Arlington and Commonwealth of VA.

History

In February of 2014 Jonathan Aberman launched TandemNSI at Artisphere in Rosslyn.  He described TandemNSI as an initiative to connect local entrepreneurs with national security agencies, with plans to hold events to bridge the public-private divide that entrepreneurs face in the DC Metro area.  Attendees of the launch included Congressman Jim Moran, former U.S. CTO Aneesh Chopra, two other Congressional candidates, entrepreneurs, representatives from national security agencies and other relevant players. [1]  On October 19, 2014, TandemNSI hosted an exclusive startup demo and roundtable event for Governor Terry McAuliffe and Secretary of Technology Karen Jackson. [2]  On October 22, 2014 the initiative was named one of 150 finalists for InTheCapital’s “50 on Fire” list of visionary individuals and companies across all industries in Washington D.C. [3]
